Behind The Scenes: Trey Songz Shoots Chapter V Album Cover…

Just a couple weeks after dropping his latest single “2 Reasons,” Trey Songz is now giving you 5 reasons to buy his new album, Chapter V. The cover of his fifth studio album, which is slated to be released August 21, features five shirtless Trey’s…no complaints here. ;-)

The upcoming project boasts eighteen tracks with features from T.I, Big Sean, Lil Wayne, J. Cole and Kelly Rowland. From the looks of the track listing, fans are in for some classic baby-making music, however, Trey has hinted that he may be switching things up just a little on this LP:

I’m definitely trying to leap forward with every album, and with this album, I think it’s a leap forward and a leap into the past. I want to embody in this album—this fifth album, which is very monumental for me—what I am, where I came from, and where I’m going. I just think it’s going to be very fluent, very diverse, yet very cohesive album.”

50 Cent Involved In Bad Car Accident… 50 Cent appears to be living out a real life, ‘Final Destination’ movie. He possibly had a brush with death again last night when he was involved in a bad car accident in Queens. According to his website, who broke the news, he was traveling down the Long Island Expressway when the SUV he was riding in was hit by a MACK truck. The SUV flipped a few times which caused injuries to 50 Cent and the driver who were both taken to a nearby Queens Hospital. (More via Necole Bitchie…)

You are probably wondering ‘When is Rihanna not topless in a photo shoot’…

Let’s face it, RiRi is definitely the Cover Queen when it comes to the amount of covers she’s snagged over the past few years (she wasn’t crowned Esquire’s sexiest Women Alive for nothing), but interesting enough, most of the publications would rather put her on their covers with her clothes off, than on. She’s currently covering Esquire UK’s July 2012 issue, topless, with a headline that states, ‘Rihanna Will Not Be Censored’.

The cover shot definitely looks like something we’ve seen before (Rihanna instagrammed similar photos of herself topless from the set of her ‘Nude’ fragrance shoot just this weekend), however, the inside shots of Rihanna in a netted bra and army fatigue shorts are far hotter.

Tonight, the two had one big lovefest as they greeted at London’s O2 Arena for Jay-Z and Kanye West’s ‘Watch The Throne’ tour. Rita tweeted, the photo at Rihanna with the caption, ‘Hatin A$$ Biatch!!!! Mwah!!!!!’ Later that night, the two headed over to Dstrkt Restaurant for Jay-Z’s long time friend Ty Ty’s birthday bash which also served as The ‘Watch The Throne’ tour afterparty. The guest list for the night included the likes of Kanye, Kim Kardashian, Gwyneth Paltrow, Chris Martin and Trey Songz. Freeway Gets Sent To The Not-So-Cool Side During Jay-Z’s Press Conference… What’s wrong with this photo? Jay-Z held a huge press conference yesterday to announce that he would be headlining a 2-day Music Festival in Philly over the Labor Day Weekend. The conference was complete with bells and whistles, The Mayor of Philly, reps from huge sponsors like United Way and Budweiser and some how or another, even Jay’s long-time friend & Philly native Freeway, made his way on stage. After the conference, photos of Freeway standing at the edge of the stage with his arms crossed as though he was sent to time-out, circulated the web which sparked rumors that he just showed up at the conference and pulled a Lil Mama on stage. Although that wasn’t the case, Beanie Sigel has taught us that you can’t put nothing past the folks of Shawn Carter’s past. According to Vibe, Jay personally invited Freeway to appear at the conference and Freeway was fully aware that he would not be taking press photos with Jay, the politicians and sponsors due to his past drug felony charge. Despite the understanding that they may have had, it’s almost painful to watch video that surfaced from the conference. Azealia Banks: “Everyone Thinks I’m This Arrogant Little Twat’… Rapper Azealia Banks’ is giving off some bra and panty action in her latest shoot with photographer Michael Flores for Dossier Journal. Although the Harlem native has been ruffling the feathers of rap veterans like T.I. and Lil Kim lately, she says that she isn’t the ‘Arrogant Little Twat’ that people think she is, in a recent interview with Vibe Magazine. The feature, written by Tracy Garraud, includes quotes from a teacher at LaGuardia High, which was also the stomping grounds of Nicki Minaj. According to the drama teacher, he saw more ambition in Azealia than he did Nicki. “I don’t remember Nicki having the level of ambition Azealia manifested to me”. Also included in the Vibe article, is a bit from Azealia about the time she wanted to audition for Damon Dash and Juelz Santana but was turned away. A few months back, an unfinished version of Azealia’s extra-cocky track “US” appeared online. It flew under the radar, and she left it out of her Coachella sets. But now the mastered version has come out, and it’s special because this might be the last time for a while that we get to hear a track from Azealia’s lo-fi days. Since signing her new management deal with Lady Gaga’s manager Troy Carter, Azealia says she’ll be putting out higher-quality material from now on. She tweeted, “No more ghetto mixes and closet recording.. I have a budget now!” But “US” was definitely one of those do-it-yourself productions, probably made in the bedroom. The Barb Melodrama: Nicki Minaj Deletes Her Twitter… It’s a very sad day in Barbz and Kenz world. Nicki Minaj vanished from the twitter verse leaving 11 million followers behind. Apparently, The twitter drama started after Nicki found out that her biggest fan site, Nicki Daily, posted songs from her Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded album before the album’s release date. She blocked the site’s twitter which resulted in a war between the Barbz (are you keeping up? I know sounds crazy but follow me now…) with some taking Nicki’s side and the others taking the fan site’s side.
